Choosing Irrigation Cable

Irrigation cable comes in either single or multiple cores and in different mm2 sizes. The cores inside the cable relate to the number of stations you may want to connect to.

5 Core Cable has 5 individual wires that can connect your controller to the valves. Bear in mind that 1 wire will always need to be the Common Wire, so in a 5 core cable that leaves 4 core left to wire into the stations.

The Irrigation Cores we sell are 1, 2, 3 5, and 7 cores, with 9 and 13 cores available upon request. If your system has 7 valves then you can use a 7 core cable with a single core as the common wire.
