A new optional feature to the FIMCO Hydro Indexing Valves is the Zone Indicator. Now you no longer need to guess which zone will come on next. This simple little button on top of the cam has an arrow that points to the active zone. The zone indicator is great to use when testing or performing maintenance on your irrigation system. When the pump is turned off, simply index the cam to your desired section by pushing down the zone indicator. When the pump is turned back on, the system will automatically start on that section.

  • It takes the guesswork out of your indexing valve
  • Shows the active zone on your sprinkler system
  • Easy to select a start zone on your system
  • Allows for easier irrigation system maintenance

The zone indicator works with all valve models manufactured in the past 20 years.

*We ship on business days, Monday through Thursday, except holidays. If you place your order with us on a business day (Monday through Thursday) after 2 pm Eastern, your shipment will leave our warehouse facility on the next business day.

To Install your Zone Indicator, you must:

  1. Remove the four screws that attach the cam cover to the valve top.
  2. Remove the Cam Cap making sure that the O-ring on the top of the cam stays in place.
  3. Place the zone indicator shaft into the valve stem and lightly twist the cap until the shaft on the zone indicator’s underside slides into the hole on the stem and disc assembly. Do not force the zone indicator down.
  4. Ensure the notched edge of the cam is in place with the locator pin on the top of the valve.
  5. Replace the four screws and tighten them down.

Tips and Suggestions:

When installing the zone indicator, we suggest first turning the screw counterclockwise until you feel a ‘pop’ as the screws fall into the old thread. You can then turn the screw clockwise and tighten it. This prevents the chance of stripping out screws as they form a new thread in the plastic. It is always best to install with a handheld screwdriver.
