Which Pipe Fittings to Use

Medium Density

Medium Density Pipe:
    • Blueline
      • SKU: 2500-(OD Pipe Size)PN12-5-(Coil Length)
      • e.g 2500-25PN12-5-100 (25mm = OD size, PN12.5 = Bar, 100 = Coil Length)
    • Redline
      • SKU: 360-(OD Pipe Size)PN(Bar Rate)-(Coil Length)
      • e.g 360-63PN9-100 (63mm = OD size, PN9 = Bar, 100 = Coil Length)
    • Greenline
      • SKU: 370-(OD Pipe Size)PN(Bar Rate)-(Coil Length)
      • e.g 370-32PN8-100 (32mm = OD size, PN8 = Bar, 100 = Coil Length)
Tips:
  • Medium-density pipe is referred to by its outside diameter (OD)
  • Medium Density Fittings go overtop of MD Pipe
  • The pipe needs to be pushed past the o-ring in the MD fitting to seal
  • If the MD pipe is scratched or gouged, it may not create a seal on the o-ring and leak.
  • Use tools to tighten

Low Density

Used for:
  • Low-Density Pipe
    • SKU: 300-(ID Pipe Size)-(Coil Size)
    • e.g 300-25-100 (25mm = ID Size, 100 = Coil Length)
Tips:
  • Low-density pipe is referred to by its inside diameter (ID)
  • The low-density fitting barbs go inside the pipe
  • The LD screw nut tightens overtop of the LD pipe.
  • Hand tightened

Lateral Fittings

Used for:
  • Lateral Pipe
    • SKU: 350-(ID Pipe Size)-(Coil Size)
    • e.g 350-25-100 (25mm = ID Size, 100 = Coil Length)
Tips:
  • Lateral pipe is referred to by its inside diameter (ID)
  • Lateral fittings are inserted inside the lateral pipe
  • Ratchet Clips are required for lateral fittings
  • Lateral fittings have a single barb
  • To assist in installation, use boiling/hot water to soften the pipe

Dripline Fittings

Used for:
  • Dripline
  • Effluent Line
Tips:
  • Dripline is 16mm Outside Diameter (OD) and 14mm Inside DIameter (ID)
  • Dripline fittings are 14mm and inserted inside the dripline pipe
  • Dripline fittings are referred to by the outside diameter.
  • Ratchet Clips are not required for dripline fittings
  • Dripline fittings have 2 or more barbs
  • To assist in installation, use boiling/hot water to soften the pipe. Use up and down movements

Driptape Fittings

Used for:
  • Driptape
Tips:
  • Driptape is a thin-walled tube
  • hand tighten the nut over top of the tape

PVC Fittings

Used for:
  • PVC Pipe
    • SKU: 800-(ID Pipe Size)-PN(Bar Rating)(Length)
    • e.g 800-25-PN125.8 (25mm = ID Size, PN12.5 = Bar Rating)(5.8 = Length)
Tips:
  • PVC Pipe is referred to by its inside diameter (ID)
  • Use Primer to clean the fitting and pipe before installation
  • Apply Solvent Cement on both the PVC pipe and fitting
  • Secure the fitting and hold to dry for 30 seconds
  • PVC Spigot fittings are male and go inside the female PVC Socket fittings or pipe
