Choosing a Sprinkler or Application
First Entering Netspex you have the choice as to how best select the sprinkler.
- Select a Sprinkler
- The best option when you are aware of the sprinkler being used and would like to test the different options to get the best results.
- Select an Application
- Best when you have not yet selected a sprinkler and may not know what would be best for your situation.

Choose a Sprinkler
Selecting a Sprinkler option will give you all the Netafim sprinkler range. Pick the type of sprinkler you have or will require and select the model and flow rate.
For this example, we have chosen the SuperNet Long-range Sprinkler at 70 L/hr
Select the Pattern
Now we select the sprinkler pattern for our system, you have the options of
- Rectangular
- Triangular
- Parallelogram
- Single Line
- Double Line
- Single Head
We have chosen the Rectangular Pattern
Enter the Details
Enter the detail below that applies for your system, then show the performance of the sprinkler.
Sprinkler Performance Report
The sprinkler performance report will give you a good estimation of how the sprinkler selected will work in the application. You can see the CU%, DU% and SC%, along with the average precipitation rate.
You will likely need to re-enter the details for a variety of sprinkler types to find the model that works best for you.
Ideally, you want the CU% and DU% above 95%, with the SC% close to 1%.
Select an Application
If you decide to choose an application to help decide your sprinkler, you will be given the following screen.
Each with a number of options to select from, If you go this route, you will need to know the system set up and more details as compared to selecting a sprinkler option.
For this example we have chosen the Orchard Irrigation option.
Enter the Details
With this selection, you are given a number of drop-down or slide options to fill in. You also have the option of going Upright or Upside Down Sprinklers
This requires you to have knowledge of the system you are planning to install, such as the following
- Angle of throw
- Distance between sprinkler heads
- Distance between lateral lines
- Precipitation rate
- Operating pressure
- Height above ground
- Rectangular or triangular
Best Results
With the following details entered, Netspex can calculate the best sprinkler options for that application.
